Miftah An-Nur Islamic International School successfully handed over BND6,070 raised through its Eid Packet Fundraiser, benefiting 60

children from Kompleks Rumah Kebajikan in collaboration with Hand4Hand Brunei.

The fundraiser centred around specially designed Eid packets created by Miftah An-Nur

students. The packets were made available for purchase by parents, staff, and members of the

public in the lead-up to Hari Raya, with all proceeds channelled towards supporting the

charitable initiative.

The funds enabled 60 children from Kompleks Rumah Kebajikan to personally select their own

Hari Raya clothing and essentials, allowing them to celebrate the festive season with

confidence, dignity, and joy.

Unlike traditional aid distributions, the programme empowered the children to make their own

choices, from selecting colours and styles to choosing accessories that reflected their individual

preferences. The experience offered not only practical support but also a meaningful sense of

independence and inclusion.

Representatives from Miftah An-Nur and Hand4Hand Brunei formally handed over the funds

during a ceremony attended by members of both organisations. The contribution helped ensure

the children could prepare for Hari Raya with new clothing and essential items of their

choosing.

Speaking on the initiative, Md Yamin Abd Hamid, Marketing & IT Manager at Miftah An-Nur

Islamic International School, highlighted the importance of preserving dignity in charitable

giving.

“This initiative was about more than providing material support. It was about giving children

the opportunity to make their own choices and experience the excitement of preparing for Hari

Raya like any other child. We are incredibly grateful to our students, parents, donors, and

supporters whose generosity helped make this possible.”

The fundraiser also provided Miftah An-Nur students with a meaningful opportunity to

contribute towards a cause that directly benefited children in need, reinforcing the values of

compassion, generosity, and community service.
